Since 1995 Mainstay Farm has been entertaining guests with its fall and Christmas field trips. In the past year alone, Mainstay Farm had over 10,000 children and teachers out to the farm for field trips.
We schedule field trips at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
The 9:30 a.m. starts promptly at 9:30 a.m. and ends at 11:15 a.m. Then, eat your sack lunch in the picnic pavilion.
The 10:30 a.m. eats lunch upon arrival at 10:30 a.m. Field trip starts at 11:15 a.m. and ends at 1:15 p.m.
Our farm is conveniently located just 30 minutes from most Fort Worth schools. (Directions)
Activities:
- A short educational film
- Dress a scarecrow/farmer relay
- Hay Play and Jump
- Roast marshmallows around small contained fire
- Color maze
- Hayride
- Your class will see bee hives (at a safe distance), blackberries, pumpkins (in season) and live Christmas trees.
- Stop and play at the tree house fort, swinging trees, and wooden maze
This is a well-planned field trip and your class will be under control in organized groups during your entire visit. We have excellent restroom facilities, hand washing stations and a delightful staff. We would love to host your group.
