Or how about a real country swing band that plays only the best of Earl Scruggs and Patsy Cline, the way it was meant to be enjoyed? How about a square dance, with the best caller on this side of the barbed wire, guaranteed to get your group a do-si-do-in? Finally, when it falls dark and the stars are all visible, lay out your blanket for an open-field movie as we project a country hit of John Wayne. Your group only needs to show up and the fun will begin; just let us know what you want and you will be entertained, country style.
Activities
When you arrive is when the fun begins! Everyone will always have something to do next as they explore the never-ending activities on Mainstay Farm. Take a ride in our Covered Hay Wagon, and we'll pull a couple of gags on you. Climb, jump, roll and crawl in the Hay Play Barn, where the hay is piled as high as mountains. Ascend upward into our Three-Story Tree House to catch a view, and hang around in our swing'n trees atop our hill. Use your brains to master the logic Color Maze, and muster up your keen since of direction as you navigate through the Wooden Maze. Grab your buddies and practice your aim with a game of Horse Shoes or challenge your friends in a game of Cow Pasture Disc Golf. Become a farm animal when you get your face painted like the barn cat or our climbing goats. Try your luck or talent while you find the ultimate relaxation near the still water at the Fishing Tank.
Organized Games
Your group will make memories they will recall over and over again; they will never stop saying "Remember when we...at Mainstay Farm." The question is, do you want to put to use the old farm and ranch classics that were only invented for the toughest cowboys and cowgirls? Or play American favorites like softball and football? Try your strength and momentum in a game of Tug of War. Your rhythm, coordination and speed will shine when you and a partner compete in the Three-Legged Race. Spring your way to the finish line while in the Potato Sack Race. Show skill and teamwork while in our real Sand Volleyball Pits as you play the hardest you ever have. Save your energy though, because you'll need your balance and strength for the ultimate Wheel Barrow Relay and Shovel Pull.
Menu Options
Home-cooked farm cuisine is our specialty. Your guest's mouths will water when they are served the flame-cooked spread from Mainstay Grill. We'll custom design a menu to suit your group's dietary needs, or develop a menu to work with the theme of your corporate or social event.
Our Facilities
Originally constructed for cattle, our Party Barns are perfect for your herd no matter the size. Your group will find relaxation in the country setting and comfort as they feel the vibe of farm living without the hard work. Your group will have access to: 100 x 25 foot Picnic Barn, 100 x 300 foot Party Barn, parking space for a thousand, clean indoor restroom facilities, and our Hay Play Barn.
